In a review for the June 1980 issue of Arts Magazine, Robert Yoskowitz wrote, “This ‘Painting-Sculpture’ series still carries out the artist’s conceptual ideas of time and material. Painting from the ‘back,’ on the support in one color, it bleeds through to the ‘front,’ creating an image of the underlying structure. Since oil paint never really dries, the bleed can become the whole, sucking out from the reverse to the obverse over a period of time.”
