In 2018, Fugate-Wilcox explained the work: “I was fascinated by the scientific description of plastic as ‘organic glass’ & the special way that vacuum (It becomes transparent) coated Mylar weathered, Mylar is a polycarbonate material we even named our cats Lexan & Dynel.”
